Still Becoming, After 60
For those of us who still have a spark, enjoy excitement, progress and projects
I’m Here, Welcome, Me!
I have hesitated, I have researched and wondered. Now it’s time to stop wondering and start acting! So, here I go.
My First Question: Which Language?
I’m French, so French is my native language. Still, because English reaches a wider audience, I write my Seniors’ Series in English. I’m not sure yet whether this Substack should be in English or French, I’m sure time will tell. Maybe I’ll mix and match. Why not?
What Is This All About?
With this Substack, I want to connect with older (but not old) people.
I never gave much thought to entering the so-called autumn of my life, my “senior” years (oh, how I loathe that word!). And yet, somehow, it just happened without my consent.
Surprise, surprise: suddenly I’m treated like an old cow, even though under the wrinkles, I feel exactly the same as I did twenty or even thirty years ago.
I could spend hours complaining about how unfair it is, but who wants to turn into someone old and cranky? Not me. Not moi!
So, I’m on a quest to make these years the most enjoyable yet. Want to come along? Then subscribe, and let’s see what we can build together.
Drum Roll! My First Book Is Coming Out On Nov. 26
Right before Thanksgiving (and my birthday!), I’m releasing my ChatGPT Guide For Seniors.
Yes, I know, I wrote “senior” isn’t really my cup of tea. But, just as some people don’t identify strictly as woman or man, I don’t quite identify as a senior. Still, one has to call a cat a cat. Otherwise, my friend, you might get lost in the lexicon and give up following me altogether.
Are you a senior who’s still kicking?
If so, join me on this late-blooming quest for continued happiness.
I’ve got a lot to say. I’m starting with the ChatGPT Guide For Seniors because I refuse to be left behind, talked down to, or politely excused from the conversation.
I want a voice in the room.
Do you?
Thank you!
So that’s my first hello. I’m here, curious, ready to share and listen. Tell me what this stage of life feels like for you. I’d love to hear your story. Let’s make this space one where age means freedom, not limits.
And as for me, I’m signed off to stretch, sip coffee, and learn something new.

I look forward to hearing more about your book. All the best.
Welcome to Substack Flo! I’m excited to read more of your writing and thoughts on growing along after 60! Love that you’re French and may use this language sometimes…fun challenge for us! ☺️So nice to meet you! 🤗
